Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
FixMyFault is an online platform that connects customers with independent trades. We do not employ the trades and we are not a party to the contract between customer and trade.
2. Customers
When you post a job, you agree to provide accurate information about the problem and your property. You are responsible for choosing which trade to book and for paying that trade directly.
Trades must clearly state their call-out fees and rates in the first message. Always confirm total costs before you accept and book a trade.
3. Trades
Trades are responsible for all work they carry out, for holding appropriate insurance, and for complying with local laws and regulations (e.g. Gas Safe, Part P, etc.).
By using FixMyFault, you agree to contact customers only via the platform inbox and not to share contact details until a job is booked.
4. Our role
FixMyFault provides messaging, notifications and basic vetting tools (e.g. ID and insurance uploads). We are not responsible for the quality of work, timeliness, or outcomes of any jobs.
5. Payments
Customers pay trades directly. FixMyFault does not handle customer-to-trade payments. Trades pay FixMyFault via subscriptions and small micro-fees when customers reply to their messages.
6. Abuse & misuse
We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the platform, including but not limited to: spam jobs, abusive messages, no-shows, or attempts to bypass the platform to avoid fees.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FixMyFault after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.
